You do not have to decide who is entirely right before deciding who you will be.
This video does not claim to explain why your child withdrew. Silence does not give either person perfect knowledge of the other’s motives. It does leave you with choices about honesty, boundaries, accountability, and care.
This is not an argument for innocence. Compassion for a parent does not erase conduct that needs repair. Listening to an adult child does not require agreeing with every interpretation or confessing to what you do not believe is true.
